itinerary : 14 nights, 15 days
The 1st WEEK (DAY
1 to DAY 7)
DAY 1
Your TP
(teacher for teaching practice) will be met at KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
(Osaka) and taken to the SR (Students’ Residence) in Kanokodai, Kita-ku, Kobe,
Following a rest period, there will be a short meeting to go over the
2-week schedule, the HOUSE RULES, etc. (Depending
on the plane’s arrival time, and if the TP wishes, we will do a tour of Rokko
Island, Kobe, on our way to the SR)
DAY 2
Morning:
Orientation, i.e. tour of the SR neighborhood--- the shops, restaurants, banks,
post office, etc. Afternoon:
Orientation (continued)--- how to use the trains and buses. Evening: Practice
teaching, approx.

DAY 3
Morning:
EEIJ (English Education in Japan) Seminar. Part I--- “A Brief Introduction to
the History and Culture of Japan”. Part
II--- “History of English Education in Japan.” (suggested readings and
assignments offered) Afternoon:
Free. Evening: Practice
Teaching 6:00-9:00PM.
DAY 4
Morning:
EEIJ Seminar. “English Education in Today’s Japan”
Afternoon:
Free. Evening: Practice Teaching
6:00-9:00PM
DAY 5
EEIJ
Project. All-day trip to Osaka---
tour of city center, visit to English school, meet with English teachers, meet
with students, etc. (Special free-of-charge option: visit Kishiwada city, about
40 minutes from central Osaka, to see our abacus classes, actually try the
abacus, conduct one practice teaching session.)
DAY 6
Morning:
Free Afternoon: Practice
Teaching 12:30-4:00PM

Visit neighboring Sanda city, tour university.
DAY 7
Morning:
Practice Teaching 10:00AM – 2:00PM
Afternoon:
Visit nearby Kirin Brewery to sample local beer (optional),
and chat
with visitors.
The 2nd
WEEK (DAY 8 to DAY 15)
Basically
the same schedule as the 1st WEEK.

8 --- Free day for any adjustments
DAY 10---
EEIJ Seminar “The English Job Market in Japan”
(with the latest statistics on market trends, job availability, required
teaching qualifications, wages, etc)
DAY
11--- EEIJ Workshop: “Assessing Japanese Students’ Needs” in view of the current globalization age.
DAY
12--- EEIJ Project. All-day trip to
central Kobe. (similar to DAY 5)
DAY
14--- Presentation of Go Communication EEIJ program certificate and souvenirs.
Farewell dinner party.

15--- Send- off to airport
