London Teacher Training College is proud to announce that we are now offering the Level 5 Certificate in TEFL ( QCF ) approved by OFQUAL.  This new qualification will be available alongside the current LTTC Certiifcate in TEFL endorsed by Training Qualifications UK.

The Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (QCF) is a standalone specialist qualification suitable for learners wishing to develop the skills and knowledge to specialise in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages. The purpose of this qualification is to develop knowledge and skills relevant to a particular specialisation within an occupation or set of occupations.

The target audience for the qualification is learners with little or no experience of teaching English. The aim is to develop the introductory knowledge and skills required to begin to teach English as a foreign language. The qualification develops learners’ knowledge of the English language and how to teach it; how to assess the needs of learners; preparing lesson plans and materials; identify resources and adapt to the needs of younger learners

This qualification is made up of eleven mandatory units which cover the teaching and learning of English as a foreign language.  Upon successful completion learners will have completed 29 credits at level 5.

This program is suited for those looking for an alternative to CELTA and Trinity that carries OFQUAL recognition.

For further information, visit the OfQual Certificate in TEFL page or enrol on the course here.
