Accommodation at the low cost end is confirmed today as
being available. Bedrooms take four in separate beds. A
TESOL student can pay as little as S$300 (about GBP 140)
for 1 month's accommodation, sharing with three others. To
share with two others, S$600, To have whole room
S$1200 for the month.

The accommodation is basic with no meals supplied.
there are plenty of Singapore style eateries very close
by. There are few hundred China students in this hostel,
living much as they do in China. They are friendly and
approachable and will love having UK visitors actually
staying among them. They will want to practice their
English, TESOL students could pick up some spoken Chinese
quite easily in 4 weeks. There are floors for females,
floors for males. Washing is done by students themselves.
Transport into BEC is an easy bus ride.
The above accommodation is for the young and
adventurous, preferably those aiming at teaching in China.

safe and well-lit at night.

Neighbours - We are located
in the
'Education 'Hub' that is being encouraged by
the Singapore Government to develop in central
Singapore. It is a pleasant and vibrant
student district with a wide range of food
courts and restaurants. Close by are Nanyang
Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), LASALLE College
of the Arts and the soon-to-be-opened new
campus of School of the Arts Singapore.
Singapore National Central Library is 5
minutes walk away, Singapore
Art Museum and National Museum of Singapore
are both 9 minutes walk, Sim Lim Square (a
haven for computer enthusiasts) is 5 minutes
walk, the
beginning of Orchard Road (main shopping area)
10 minutes walk and Bugis Junction
(shopping/fashion centre) 8 minutes walk.
